Seven Royal Navy ships have been named HMS ''Duncan'', after Admiral Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan of Camperdown, hero of the Battle of Camperdown. * was the mercantile ''Carron'', of 1072 tons (bm), launched at Bombay Dockyard on 21 July 1792 for Bruce, Fawcett, & Co.
